My first day, (Austin Stevens)

Not this again....
by Austin Stevens 5th hr, Mr Feilder.

Walking down the streets hearing the cars going by, a thousand thoughts going threw my head as I walked to my first day of high school. Seeing the busses drive past me filled with students i got that old school feeling again, new school, new teachers, new kids.
As I inched away from the glass double doors looking every way to find the halls, I finally saw my hall. Getting there wasn’t so easy with all the eager students standing in the middle of the halls talking with old friends and catching up since the last school year. It felt like walking into the crowd at a Tigers game, not knowing which way to go next.
Finally reaching “A” hall I realized, “That wasn’t so hard”. Looking left then right seeing the numbers on the lockers progressively getting smaller I finally reached mine. Seeing the brown rusted locker I put my new bright colored folders and journals away. After brutally slamming my locker closed I went searching for the gym. When kids were finding their first hour classes the halls got empty and silent, like a abanded warehouse.
When I was down the hall from the gym, the bell rang, “I can’t be late on the first day!!” Went through my mind as I swiftly walked down the hall. When I saw other kids walking patiently into the gymnasium I realized I wasn’t late after all. When I found my class I met with some old friends and discussed classes. After the second and third bell finally rang I now know that the first few bells are just warnings. For the first 15 minuets of my freshmen experience was going great.
